Preparing for an In-Office Recovery Session

Clients often ask what they should prepare before arriving at our Cheongju office. This guide covers the practical details so your session time is spent on documentation, not logistics.

What to bring

Hardware wallets — Bring every device you actively use. We verify firmware versions on-site. Devices remain in your possession throughout; we never connect them to our equipment.

Physical backups — Paper cards, metal plates, or sealed envelopes you want verified. Do not open sealed backups before the session unless instructed.

Heir contact details — Full name, phone number, and relationship of the person who should receive the instruction brief. They do not need to attend.

A list of backup storage locations — Safe at home, bank deposit box, family member’s address. Addresses can be described rather than written in full if privacy is a concern (e.g., “mother’s apartment, Gangnam district”).

What not to bring

Laptops with wallet software open and logged in (unnecessary risk)
Photographs of seed phrases on your phone
USB drives unless they are confirmed wallet backup files you want verified

Session flow

Arrival (10 min): Tea, review of the preparation checklist, confirmation of scope.

Inventory (30 min): Device and backup cataloguing. You handle all hardware.

Documentation (90–120 min): Guided completion of record sheets. We cross-reference as you write.

Heir brief drafting (45 min): Plain-language instructions based on what was documented.

Sealed copy preparation (15 min): Optional tamper-evident envelope for attorney or secondary storage.

Wrap-up (15 min): Review, scheduling of optional follow-up, payment of balance.

Remote sessions

If you book a video session, we courier pre-printed forms to your address in advance. The flow is identical, but you photograph completed sections for our cross-reference binder (photographs are deleted from our devices after binding).

Parking and access

Our office is at Office 9, 69 Placeholder-gil, Cheongju. Visitor parking is available in the building basement. Arrive five minutes early to complete a brief confidentiality acknowledgement.
